    Am questioning the use of ice. Latest research suggests ice inhibits blood flow and causes slower healing. Even the doctor who coined the acronym RICE says he was wrong. Heat is now considered a better way to reduce inflammation and pain. I can’t take anti-inflammatories as I am very allergic to them all. The heel spur pain is becoming unbearable and cortisone injections are contraindicated. It’s also red, and swollen with the redness and swelling spreading to my ankle and leg. Too painful to touch. Any other suggestions that are more natural? I would prefer to leave the medical industry out of this issue.

      Epsom salt bath, massage with rosemary or lavender, Apple cider vinegar, and Flaxseed oil.
